4.23. Unarchiving a Geocache

The archiving of a geocache is intended to be a permanent status. That is why only community volunteer reviewers and Geocaching HQ staff have the capability to unarchive it. This is done only in rare circumstances and only if it meets the current Geocache Listing Guidelines.

If a geocache is archived by a reviewer or staff for lack of maintenance it will not be unarchived.

Geocache Description:

A Surf Life Saving Club series of caches by DJAJ & thewhitedoggang . Enjoy the whole series. There is no need to enter any club grounds, gardens or property.

Surf Life Saving South Australia http://www.surfrescue.com.au/ SLSSA remains the key agency for beach safety and a vital community service playing a fundamental role in building healthy communities in addressing community issues and government policies such as obesity, physical activity, youth development, safer communities, training and education, and family. A surf lifesaving club is the heart of any beach, providing better health outcomes for South Australians of all ages. It is a meeting place, a training college, a fitness and recreation centre, an emergency evacuation centre, conference room, social and wedding function centre that encourages physical activity and teaches important Australian values - volunteerism, family, leadership, teamwork, meeting challenges, and pursuing excellence. Today, the Association comprises Surf Life Saving South Australia Inc. (SLSSA) which primarily governs and co-ordinates surf lifesaving in SA, and surf lifesaving clubs strategically located around the SA coastline. From Whyalla to Port Elliot, over 5,500 members aged seven years to over 70 contribute to a volunteer emergency service of the highest standard. Christies Beach SLSC - http://www.christiesbeachslsc.com.au/ The Christies Beach Surf Lifesaving Club patrols the beach between Witton Bluff in the south and the O’Sullivan Beach boat ramp in the North – around three and half kilometres of coastline. The base patrol is situated either slightly to the south or north of the Christies Beach boat ramp. From this location roving patrols to the south beach and to O’Sullivan Beach are co-ordinated. With the use of I.R.B’s and foot patrols, our members are able to provide a comprehensive surveillance of the area. The use of two way radios enables the I.R.B and roving patrols to be in contact with the base patrol and for all members to have contact with Surf Command at all times. Beach patrols operate throughout the summer months from November to March between the hours of 1.00pm and 5.00pm on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. Surveillance patrols will operate during other times when there are members available to staff them and when the need arises such as midweek, on extremely hot days, over Christmas and during the school holidays.
