Geocache Description:

A wise friend told me that Japan is a country of full of little pleasures, so I placed this cache near one of mine: a small shrine behind my apartment. You won't find the Yanagihara district or this shrine in a guidebook, but if you’re ever in the area come to Hiyoshi-jinja for a cache and a taste of the Japanese countryside.

If you're lucky, you might catch a small event going on like our fall festival or the burning of New Year's decorations. Or perhaps you'll stop by when the cherry blossom tree is in bloom, which is a very beautiful sight amongst the other greenery. Even on a regular day (approximately 360 days a year) a stop by my "home" shrine might add something to your travels.

Hiyoshi Shrine is located next to the Yanagihara Community Center in Yanagihara, Wadayama-cho, Asago-shi, Hyogo-ken. I recommend using Google Maps to find your way here. If you are taking the Bantan Toll Road or Kita-Kinki Expressway north into Tajima for Kinosaki Onsen, snowboarding or the beach please consider this short detour for a cache!

Note: The coordinates for this cache were taken with an iPhone. When plugged into Google Maps the location is more or less spot-on, so if you are having trouble please try that (if possible).
