Sons of the Bog: The cache has likely disappeared following recent forestry work in the area. The new house owners nearby have also been suspicious.

Roadside cache near the railway crossing. Beware of muggles around the area.
This cache lies in what was the crossing keepers cottage garden when Britain had a proper railway system. The gates are now automatic and some distance from the cache so children will be safe. In June the remnants of the keepers raspberry bushes provide a welcome treat. The many footpaths and bridleways in the area can make for a pleasant stroll. Broadwath is situated on a tiny tributary of the river Eden called Cairn Beck. This used to provide the power for a series of mills. The mill at Broadwath burned down long ago but the millrace is still there and is now a central feature in a small development of houses. The stonework still shows evidence of the housing for the water wheel which was the power generator for the original mill. The area known as Broadwath expanded in the 1930's with the construction of 24 Land Settlement Association houses to provide small-holdings for the unemployed. These are scattered all along the road from Warwick Bridge.
