Geocache Description:

https://www.geocaching.com/blog/2020/05/ten-tips-for-safe-geocaching/

This airpark is just before the base so anyone can access it. You're looking for an ammo can. You can put trackables, travel bugs, etc., in the watertight container. There are trinkets for the kids, too!

Geocaching etiquette: We like to keep things fun for everyone! If you take a trinket from the geocache, leave something of equal or greater value, making sure it's family friendly. Please don't place food or scented items as these attract animals.

If you're not sure about how to log a trackable or move it, please leave it for someone to enjoy. Trackables have a 6 alpha-numeric sequence. https://www.geocaching.com/track/  Please don't keep it but help to keep it traveling for other geocachers to enjoy. Happy Geocaching!!!

C-141 Starlifter. This particular proud bird was one of the aircraft used to bring back POWs from North Vietnam. It was nicknamed the "freedom bird". It has been involved in the gulf wars and many humanitarian missions. Too long to list. This cache is being placed with the permission of the Board of Directors of the Scott Field Heritage Air Park.

Ramblin'Rambo had the privilege of flying this great airplane for 25 years. It was retired the same month that Ramblin'Rambo retired. In 2010, Ramblin'Rambo, placed this in honor of her daughter's birthday, and her graduating college. Have fun and enjoy.

BEAR747 adopted this cache in 2019! Bear747 was a crew chief for the E-4B (Boeing 747) at Offutt AFB, NE. and she retired at Scott AFB as the Base Historian in 1992.
