Non Native Species Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

LavaLizard: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

In environmental circles one of the big issues is invasive species, those things that are brought in and then proceed to take over from native species. These can be plants or animals. These include such ubiquitous things as bougainvillea (native to Bougainvillea, interestingly, duh) and (German) brown trout. Some would argue homo sapiens fall into this category.

This cache is near one of those non-natives that adorn much of California and most of us think of as a native since it’s been here for over 250 years according to legend. The old ones are slowly disappearing.

Please be gentle as the cache will easily detach. Bring a pen or pencil. Replace as good or better.
