Pomnik Ofiar Faszyzmu w Krakowie znajduje sie na granicy terenu dawnego obozu koncentracyjnego "Plaszów". Upamietnia wszystkich zamordowanych w tym obozie wiezniów. Powstal w roku 1964 wedlug projektu architekta Witolda Ceckiewicza, a zostal wykonany przez Ryszarda Szczypinskiego. Do budowy pomnika uzyto wapienia pinczowskiego, konstrukcja opiera sie na zelbetowym szkielecie.
Pomnik przedstawia piec postaci stojacych w szeregu, z glowami ugietymi pod ciezarem kamiennego bloku i wyrwa na wysokosci piersi. Piec milczacych kolosów. Kiedy pada deszcz, z ich twarzy na postument pomnika spadaja duze krople wody - jak lzy.
Historia:
W latach 1855 - 1856, w miejscu gdzie teraz stoi pomnik, wojska austriackie utworzyly ziemny szaniec artyleryjski FS-22. W roku 1888 szaniec zostal zmodernizowany i polaczony z szancem FS-21. Razem z okolicznymi prochowniami, szance wchodzily w sklad pierscieni Twierdzy Kraków. Uklad szanca przetrwal do dzis - ogladajac miejsce w Google Earth mozna zobaczyc jego zarys.
We wrzesniu 1943 miejsce stalo sie terenem egzekucji wiezniów z obozu "Plaszów" oraz wiezienia Montelupich i okolicznych aresztów. Rozstrzeliwano tu glównie Zydów ale takze wiezniów innych narodowosci, a nawet niemieckich dezerterów. Wedlug Hermana Ladnera liczbe ofiar mozna szacowac nawet na 10 000. Egzekucjami kierowal SS-man Albert Hujar, stad wsród wiezniów miejsce nazywane bylo "Hujowa Górka", "Hujarowa Górka" lub "H-Górka". W czasie próby ukrycia sladów zbrodni, caly teren obozu zasypalo 17 wozów ludzkich popiolów. Obecnie miejsce odwiedzaja wycieczki z calego swiata, oddajac hold zamordowanym tu ludziom.

Monument to the Victims of Fascism in Krakow is located on the border of the former concentration camp "Plaszow". Commemorates all killed in this camp prisoners. Founded in 1964 by architect Witold Ceckiewicz, and was made by Ryszard Szczypinski. In the years 1855 - 1856, where the monument now stands, the Austrian army formed the artillery rampart FS-22. In 1888, the rampart has been upgraded and connected to the rampart FS-21. Together with nearby ammo warehouses, ramparts were a part of the rings of Krakow Fortress. Layout of the rampart survived to this day - watching in Google Earth you can see its outline.
In September 1943, the place was the scene of prosoners executions, from the camp "Plaszow " and prison Montelupich and the surrounding detentions. Shot is mainly Jews but also prisoners of other nationalities, and even German deserters. According to Herman Ladner number of victims can be estimated up to 10 000. Executions were directed by SS-man Albert Hujar, hence a place among the prisoners was called "Hujowa Górka", "Hujarowa Górka" or "H-Gorka". During attempts to hide traces of the crime, the whole camp, spilled 17 cars of human ashes. Currently, the place is visited by tours from around the world, saluting the people murdered here.
