This beach is a Monk Seal Haul Out Beach one of many in Hawaii
Located at Nimitz Beach Park.
Park is closed from 8pm to 8am.
The beach park has a small sandbar on the east side of the sand bar is where the Hawaii Monk seals Haul Out at the beach with the cabanas and restrooms,
To get to this cache you'll need to do a little footwork.
You'll have to go west beyond the green fence and you can hike a short trail behind the green fencing to get to the cache or just try cutting through the park.
Walk along the beach - caution to cachers to wear protective shoes there are a lot of rocks near the shoreline. Just some sturdy athletic shoes would be fine. I wouldn't not recommend slippers.
You'll pass some old military bunkers.
The first bunker is hidden in the trees, It's Cool under the trees.The second bunker is hidden in the bushes and the third is on the beach but covered with some unsightly spray can artwork. If you've reached the third bunker on the beach then you may have gone too far.
The cache is brownish Tupperware to match the surroundings, a medium size cache can hold some Travel Tags Large Coins or small items, a log book with pen
Its been hidden where it should be out of muggle view.
I chose this location because its off the beach path of the actual beach park away from the hustle of families fisherman Mugglers with their children that over run the park during the weekends.
During the weekdays however, its super quiet and very relaxing to check out.
Along your hike you can enjoy the clear water & you might even see a few oil tankers on the horizion. There are some small and very cool tide pools and its just a fun day to explore the slippery rocky areas but with safety first in mind.
