Hidden at one of the highest elevations in Quail Hollow State Park,
this cache is a 1.6 mile round trip hike, about a mile of which is
on a wide flat trail…the rest is bushwhack with only
moderate elevation changes. The cache is in a part of the park not
visited often, but filled with wildlife, wetlands, and the
occasional thorn. Park at the Shady Lane parking lot.
This cache is part of the 2010 NE Ohio State Parks Challenge. There
are 18 Ohio State Parks located in North East Ohio. with the
boundaries being East of I- 71 and North of I-70. There is one
cache located in each of the following parks: Cleveland Lakefront,
Headlands Beach, Geneva, Punderson, Pymatuning, Mosquito Lake,
Nelson-Kennedy, West Branch, Tinkers Creek, Lake Milton, Mohican,
Malabar Farm, Portage Lakes, Quail Hollow, Guilford Lake, Beaver
Creek, Dillon and Salt Fork. Cachers are challenged to find all 18
caches between May 29th (Memorial Day Weekend) and September 6th
(Labor Day). You get credit for finding the cache from
Geocaching.com. TO RECEIVE CREDIT FOR THE CHALLENGE, YOU MUST
PHOTOGRAPH YOURSELF HOLDING THE LOG BOOK SO WE CAN SEE YOU AND THE
NAME OF THE PARK. Once you have at least 17 out of 18 cache photos,
email them to me. THE FIRST 100 PEOPLE TO COMPLETE THE CHALLENGE
