Box is 5 metres above a footpath and leat, situated in a large crack at the bottom of a rock face. To reach the rock face involves an easy 5m scramble over grass/rock under trees.
The path is easily accessible from the road and parking area at Burrator Dam, and is on the Drake's Trail walking spur route 2.

Container is clear, waterproof lunchbox type circa 8x6 inches and 4 inches depth. It contains a number of Drake's Trail postcards along with a log book and pencil.
