Geocache Description:

Cache can be reached by parking across from the Red Lion pub. Walk down Mill Lane pathway opposite the pub to the cache site. Don't be spooked...she is a friendly ghost...sometimes.

In 1875, 8 year old Helena Burroughes was visiting her grandfather, Thomas Burroughes at Kenninghall postmill and while playing in the mill yard with two other girls, she took hold of a stationery sail about four feet from the ground. The mill started off almost immediately and she was carried up about twenty feet before she fell to the ground and was killed. Local folklore has it that you can still hear Helena singing and playing near the old mill site and the pathway leading to the cache. Helena will thank you for finding her cache. I dare you to do this after dark!
