Another unknown place of Naxos. At the entrance of the village Melanes and following the right fork (easy dirt road) arrive after 2 km in Kalamitsia, where the Jesuit monk Soze in 1673 he built a splendid edifice of true palace resort for Jesuit monks in the green valley. Shortly before reaching Kalamitsia start path leading to Flerio and Kouros. There is a sign on the road.
The conservation status of the whole complex is very poor and many parts have collapsed. Unfortunately, there are no immediate plans for any works of restoration or protections.If you go inside the buildings be very careful.
The Cache
It is a small plastic tupperware that contain logbook, pencil and stash note that we please to not remove, some trade items and an FTF award for the first finder.You can see the initial contents in the photo.
