The repairs are complete, and 'Over The Hills, Through The Woods' is back in business!
The original container and contents were eaten by something with 'small, chisel-like teef', so we replaced it with an entirely new GeoCache. This new container is much more bite-resistant than the original plastic box, so we figure if the critters can figure out how to get into this one, they deserve whatever they find inside. We just don't want to make them angry.
This cache proved itself to be a fairly effective launching point for 'ButterShug' the travelling camera, so we figured we'd use it as the origin for another Travel Bug, 'Cable In The Wild'. This one is trying to reach ManInTheWild down in St. Albans, WV. Good luck!
Terrain is a little bit hilly, but flattens out a lot once you get up the first hill. The hiding spot is probably fairly obvious (at least to experienced cache hunters), but it's hidden pretty well, so if you don't see it at first, look a little closer, and you'll soon find it. Approaching the preferred parking spot for this cache may be a bit confusing, as my maps all show a river crossing where there is none. Approach from the south, and park at: N39º 21.027' W076º 54.836'
