Geocache Description:


Trees of Alabama Series: Big Leaf Magnolia - (Magnolia macrophylla Magnoliaceae ). Deciduous tree with large 18 to 35 inch broad leaves found commonly in all regions of Alabama on fertile moist sites. Has large pale yellow and white flowers in the spring. This tree is often planted as an ornamental for the interesting leaves and flowers. This tree was in bloom when the cache was placed. There is a picture of a Big Leaf Magnolia and it's leaves on the cache log. The container is a camoed small rubbermaid with screw on lid. Coords only have a 8.5 ft accuracy. Please return cache as found.
