Enjoy the environment .... Care for it.
All of us who enjoy geocaching do so as a means of exploring our environment, whether it be a city park or some other feature. On the other hand many of us enjoy the country areas with either long or short bush walks, high country treks, and those caches for the “very adventurous.” Whatever our pleasure, to have the privilege we also have the responsibility to care for the areas we visit. How often have we parked at a trail head only to find heaps of rubbish. Even remote caches have food wrappers and plastic bottles left there or encounted on the way to the spot. This is the reason Groundspeak encourages CITO. ( cache in trash out ) It takes no effort to bring food and drink containers in to an area, don’t they get lighter the longer you are carrying them.? Munch munch Slurp slurp !! So how hard is it to carry them back out empty. !! This cache is just to remind you to be aware of the piece of rubbish that shouldn’t be there and to give it a hand out. Get into the habit of carrying a plastic bag with you for this purpose.
The Cache is hidden within a 300g cylinder. Please treat the cache with care - Hold around the base and twist gently. Replace it where you found it to stop animals disturbing it. CAUTION is required when turning into the road if travelling north. ( Co-ords accurate to within 3m ) The location can be dusty or a bit damp.. It is now about chest height.
