Gran oportunidad para conocer o visitar la Iglesia de San Agustin
San Agustín de Polanco se edificó en una manzana de 5000m2. El Arq. fue el célebre Leonardo Noriega Estávoli, con la colaboración del Ing. Juan Valero Capetillo; y la construcción corrió a cargo de los Ingenieros Lezama y Cortina. Los padres encargados fueron Fr. José C. Flores, Fr. Rodrigo Torres y Fr. Bernardo Aguirre.
La edificación fue concluida y bendecida el 18 de agosto de 1958
La iglesia puede calificarse de monumental tanto por su concepción arquitectónica como por sus dimensiones. La portada esta adornada con los relieves de los siete primeros agustinos llegados a América en la actitud de adoración eucarística; sigue después una hilera de arcos que llevan al campanario y al coro, rematando en una enorme espadaña en la que se observan los huecos para las campanas. Hay dos torres de un solo cuerpo terminadas en grandes cruces de piedras. El interior esta constituido por una descomunal nave de concreto, sostenida por columnas lisas de piedra y dos pequeñas naves a los lados; más bien parecen corredores, y concluyen en arcos breves de medio punto que sirven de ventanas, y en la parte superior una bóveda catalana.
El Cache contiene Log, y un Pin de Canada para el FTF!

Great opportunity to meet or visit the San Agustin Church
San Agustín de Polanco was built on a 5000m2 block. The architect was the famous Leonardo Noriega Estávoli, with the assistance of Mr. Juan Valero Capetillo, and the construction was carried out by Engineers Lezama and Cortina. Parents were responsible Fr Joseph C. Flores, Rodrigo Torres and Fr Fr Bernardo Aguirre.
The building was completed and dedicated on August 18, 1958
The church can be considered monumental because of its architectural design and their dimensions. The cover is adorned with reliefs of the first seven Augustinians arrived in America in the Eucharistic adoration, comes after a row of arches that lead to the belfry and choir, surmounted by a huge bell tower where the gaps are observed for bells. There are two towers of one body finished in large stone crosses. The interior consists of a huge concrete hall, supported by plain columns of stone and two small vessels on the sides, but rather seem to runners, and end in short half-point arches that serve as windows, and a dome top Catalan.
The cache contains Log, and PIN Canada for the FTF!
