Geocache Description:

Learn to use a GPS unit to hunt for treasure in the park. We'll go over the basics of geocaching and find some practice caches. Then, you will have the opportunity to find a nearby caches in the Texas Parks and Wildlife Geocache Challenge (http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/geocaching/). Find us at the southern boat ramp or ask for directions at the front gate of the park from 9 am until noon. 972/291-3900


Come to learn the basics of geocaching (who, what, how, where) and find a geocache as well! Local geocaching volunteers and state park staff will help you learn to use a GPS to find hidden caches and share your story in your online log to the geocaching community. We will start at 9:00 am and end at noon.

This is a fun way for families and friends to enjoy an adventure in the natural wonders of our Texas State Parks. Cedar Hill State Park is a great place for exploration while geocaching.

There is a fee to enter the park. The Texas State Parks and Wildlife Park Pass is a great deal for those who visit the parks frequently. Click here to go to the Texas Parks and Wildlife site for more details.
