Holy Grass seat is one of the many places to sit and rest on the Loch Leven Heritage Trail which runs around Loch Leven for 21km with lots of places to join and/or stop for refreshments en route.
The emphasis of the trail is on wildlife and Loch Leven’s status as a national nature reserve. The loch’s water, islands and reed-fringed shores are internationally important for nesting ducks and over-wintering wildfowl, with more than 20,000 pink-footed geese using the area. Whatever time of year you visit, there are plenty of birds to see and the three hides along the route are ideal places to sit and watch their goings-on.
Stealth may be required as the trail is popular with dog walkers and cyclists.
Ample parking at the Burleigh Sands Car Park and Loch Leven's Larder.
You will need to bring a pen.
