Geocache Description:

This geocache can be found at the Little Abington Meeting (the Lost Meeting), an abandoned Quaker meetinghouse built in 1836 that lies within the Sculpture Park of Abington Art Center. This geocache was placed by Abington Friends School 3rd grade. Please search only during daylight hours. Also take care, because there is poison ivy on the grounds, if you go off the main pathways. Please do not touch the sculptures that the geocaches are near.

Abington Arts Center, a wonderful historic, 27-acre art center in suburban Philadelphia, engages visitors with its sculpture park and gallery exhibitions of today’s artists, studio art classes, and public programs. The art center has a nationally recognized Sculpture Garden that was established in 1990 on grounds owned by Abington Township. Abington Friends School 3rd Grade Environmental Studies class, in partnership with the Art Center, has placed 3 geocaches on the Art Center grounds. The geocaches highlight some of the wonderful environmental art and interesting areas that you experience as you walk through the grounds of the center. The geocaches are reflective of the sculptures/places that they are near, and are completely designed and hidden by the AFS 3rd grade class!
