Geocache Description:

This series of caches is designed to be a tribute to our neighbors to the north: the People of Canada.

Canada occupies most of northern North America, extending from the Atlantic Ocean in the east to the Pacific Ocean in the west and northward to the Arctic Ocean. It is the world's second largest country by total area. Canada's border with the United States to the south and northwest is the longest in the world.

Canada is a Federation consisting of ten provinces and three territories, and is governed as a federal parliamentary democracy and a constitutional monarchy with Queen Elizabeth II as its head of state. It is officially bilingual, with English and French as the official languages at the federal level.

The Canadian National Vimy Memorial, near Vimy, Pas-de-Calais departement, France, is ceremonially considered Canadian territory. In 1922, the French government donated "freely, and for all time, to the Government of Canada, the free use of the land exempt from all taxes." However, it does not have extraterritorial status, and is thus subject to French law.

High clearance vehicle and 4WD highly recommended.

Remember to take enough water, food, and fuel.

Be aware of your surroundings, especially the heat, desert
critters, and spiny plants.

Watch your fuel tank. Fuel is available in
Searchlight.
