Geocache Description:

This cache is a 35mm film pot located at ground level.

Recommended parking: N 50° 50.010 E 000° 05.050
The published co-ordinates are for the approximate location of the Firle Patrol's WW2 underground hideout.
Unfortunately, the entrance to the hideout is off of the public footpath so it is not possible to see it up close.
You can however gain lots of very interesting information regarding this and other underground hideouts by searching: Firle Patrol (Auxiliary Units) and Secret Sussex Resistance.
I had hoped to place the cache near the hideout but it is in a site of special scientific interest (SSSI).
I have therefore placed it somewhere that is much easier to get to.
