Traditional Cache am Fohnsdorfer Berg

„Rast am Fohnsdorfer Berg“ ist ein traditional Cache auf rund 1200m Seehöhe, der – wie sein Name vermuten lässt – am Fohnsdorfer Berg an einem kleinen Rastplatz versteckt liegt. Ein kleines Bankerl lädt an einem besonders warmen, geschützten und sonnigen Platz zur kurzen Erholung von den Strapazen des Aufstieges ein.
Für den Aufstieg, der beispielsweise vom Fohnsdorfer Hauptplatz erfolgen kann, werden – sofern man einigermaßen fit ist – etwa eineinhalb Stunden benötigt. Dabei folgt man der Berggasse und danach den weiterführenden Waldsteig bis zur „Meiselbauer Hube“. Danach folgt man der Forststraße weiter bergan. Von hier aus führen mehrere Möglichkeiten zum lohnenden Ziel – die Cacheposition kann hier als Orientierung dienen. Um den Cache zu erreichen ist es nicht erforderlich querbeet unwegsames Gelände zu queren…
Alternativ kann auch ein Aufstieg durch den Dietersdorfer Graben, entlang der Bachstraße erfolgen. Diese Variante eignet sich ebenso für Mountenbiker.
Zu erwähnen ist hierbei allerdings, dass es sich bei diesem Cache NICHT um einen Drive In handelt. Auch die Bachstraße ist ab der Abzweigung „Meiselbauer“ eine Privatstraße und darf NICHT mit einem KFZ befahren werden.

„Rast am Fohnsdorfer Berg“ is a traditional Cache, with an altitude of approximate 1200m, which is located in the vicinity of Fohnsdorf. A little bench invites to have a break and to enjoy this warm and sunny place.
It is recommended to start the tour from Fohnsdorf city center. From there follow the “Berggasse” in direction “Meiselbauer Hube” and further uphill in the direction of the cache position. There are different possibilities to reach the cache, but there is no need leave the trails or cross impassable trerrain to reach the final cache position.
Alternatively the cache can be reached by following the Bachstraße through the "Dietersdorfer Graben". This is also suitable for mountain bikes. But please be aware that this is not a “Drive In” cache and that there is a ban of driving in the Bachstraße starting from the junction to “Meiselbauer”.
