Located on the footpath linking Broadwath and Heads Nook. Can be quite muddy at times with some overgrowth in high summer. Sometimes a bit of bush whacking is in order.
Last in the series Buried near Broadwath. This is a lovely walk going up stream from Broadwath. Broadwath is a small group of homes and farms between the villages of Heads Nook and Great Corby. It is situated on a tiny tributary of the river Eden called Cairn Beck. This used to provide the power for a series of mills. The mill at Broadwath burned down long ago but the millrace is still there and is now a central feature in a small development of houses. The stonework still shows evidence of the housing for the water wheel which was the power generator for the original mill.
