fairly short hike and then the fun begins. mark-enjoy the payback.
nothing says friendship more than waking up on christmas morning and finding 20 three and a half foot plastic flamingos drilled into the snow in your front yard! ponil with some help from his dad and preferida placed these treasures on xmas eve and i removed them on the 27th after much harassment from my wife and stored them in my shed and then bided my time. over the last several months i have thought about a few iterations about how to return this overly generous gift and the time for giving is now. ponil is returning today from a week in northern california where he had hoped to cache a little and drink a lot of wine with his wife and friends. i hope that he is well-rested and in a good mood as he will return to a yard full of hanging flamingos numbering only nineteen as the twentieth made the trip with me to pawtuckaway last week as i grabbed ponil's mystery cache there and the flamingo decided to stay in the state park.
i like to make mark suffer a bit with congratulatory multis as was the case with "ponil gets 1000". as in that one, special equipment is an absolute necessity to make this find.
