This cache is part of the Gold Rush series of canoe caches.
Just as 1857 prospectors searched for (and found!) gold on this very stretch of river, today we can search for hidden treasure of our own. Who knows, you might accidentally find a gold nugget while searching for a geocache!
You can reach this cache by paddling from below the dam in Oronoco to Lake Zumbro. Rental canoes/kayaks or shuttle service for those with their own boats are available in Oronoco at the canoe outfitter below the dam if needed.
Take out can be done at the park across from Fisherman's Inn.
