Geocache Description:

Hong Sip’s Bridge is in a delightful area of Cavendish along the Settlers Walk

There is a little plaque dedicated to the Hong Sip family, who were settlers that resided in Cavendish. They worked at many occupations such as Market Gardeners Labourers and Cooks. Many Chinese also passed through this area to the Ballarat gold fields

Take your time here to enjoy the majestic Red Gums that grow beside the Wannon River and also visit the other plaques along the Settlers Walk to take in the past history of the area.

And if you were a little hungry you could have bought the biggest hamburger in Australia at the local café. ( The shop was open at the time when the cache was placed) And the first thing everyone wanted to know is just how big it really is.

It weighed four kilograms. The meat pattie alone weighs 1.5 kilograms, and comprises premium mince, plus two eggs and a bit of sausage mince to bind it together. There's also four skewers stuck in it to hold it together.

But all good things have to come to an end one day. As the shop has now closed up, hence no more burgers. May be a meat pie at the pub opposite is on the cards.

This is my third cache and the usual swaps and a scratchie are there for the first to find.

Have fun finding the cache and enjoy
