Geocache Description:

A very quick Cache & Dash. Parking and terrain are very easy but watch out for `muggles` as this can be a very busy location.

Please bring your own pen or pencil!

About 1.5km south of the cache location is Maiden Castle. It is Britain`s biggest earth work fort and covers around 50 football pitches in size.

Originally started around 3000BC it was the home to several hundred people during the Iron Age. In AD43 it was over run by the Roman army and surviving inhabitants were moved to nearby Durnovaria (Dorchester). It`s grass covered earth ramparts are a spectacular feat of engineering and well worth a visit if you have the time.
