Terrypaul Had the dubious honor of hosting Junes event but kindly
allowed me to take over
We had a good meeting at the bell last month but I thought its time
we had a meet somewhere other than a pub and where better than this
place.
Timed to coincide with The Western Heights Preservation Societies
Open day it should be AN EVENT TO REMEMBER
It will be an all day meeting to start at 1000, it will not be in
the WHPA event arena but outside in the public area so there is no
fee, I would like to stress that this is in no way anything to do
with the WHPS event but a geocaching event.

I hope this event will be very well attended there will be plenty
of muggles there as well, The actual venue will be in the remains
of the old barracks above the Grand Shaft, which is paved but quite
hilly, the Drop Redoubt itself (should you decide to go in, and why
wouldnt you :)) is very steep in places and there is a long
staircase from the bottom to the top so not really wheelchair
friendly but kids should love it, the re-enactments mainly take
place inside.
There will be a 'burger' van, tea and coffee and Ice cream etc
there but not much else in the way of food, as far as I can gather,
there are plenty of eateries in town (which isn't far away) or if
the weather in nice why not bring a picnic,There are plenty of nice
spots.
I have organized an area in The marquee adjacent to the Grand Shaft
to meet and sign the log.

Theres plenty to enjoy in Dover so why not make a day of it,
there are abundant caches in this area,
