Kalla kriget gjorde att Per-Albinlinjen i Skåne upprätthölls och på många håll förstärktes.
Trots att flygvapnets STRIL-system med radartorn byggdes upp för övervakning av luftrummet i och framförallt utanför Sverige så behöll man fasta observationstorn. De var betjänade av flyglottor som sedan andra världskriget kallades tornsvalor. Här fanns ett sådant – nu borttaget.
Cachen ligger vid det kanonvärn som under 60-talet fick ett stridsvagnstorn m/42 täckt av ett kantigt plåtfodral. Under 1980-talet byttes det ut mot ett torn från stridvagn m/74 och med ett snittsigt plastfodral som kamouflage. Nu är kanontornet borta och värnet förseglat.
During the cold war an observation tower serviced by women in WRAF was situated here. The cache is hidden close to the basement of a gunturret from an obsolete tank mounted on a bunker to protect the approaches to the harbour. The tower and the gun are removed but the bunker is still there, but sealed.
