A TB Hotel for all travelers along Route 62, west of Joshua Tree.
This is located along Route 62 by the dinosaurs...nobody really knows why they are there. The main reason for this cache is to have a nice location close to the highway to place TBs and Geocoins. It is located on the south side of Route 62 behind the bail bonds joint...go up the dirt road and look for the lonely Joshua Tree.
We have been caching around here for a few months and have discovered many TBs way off in the mountains in obscure places where TBs would never get moved. Therefore, we have gathered up 8 of them and centralized them here :) Btw...we are aware of the completely terrible gramar of the name of the cache, but it was too funny of a name to pass up when we thought of it...
Another thing we have noticed is that wayyyy too many TBs and Geocoins are not properly tracked. We have gone to some caches specifically to collect TBs only to find they were not even there. Also, we have come across caches with no TBs in the inventory but there were some in the cache itself. So, the second reason for this cache is to help out all cachers out there and give a quick refresher on how to track these little guys:
1. First, simply log that you found our cache and tell us where you are from!
2. If you take a TB of geocoin, go back into the listing and look on the right in the inventory. For every trackable item in the cache, a picture and name of it will appear on the right side in the cache listing.
3. Click on the trackable that you took, and enter the listing for it.
4. In the top right corner click the 'found it, log it' link.
5. Next, choose the location from the drop down menu where you found it, then enter the tracking number for the item in the box.
6. Lastly, write a little story about your find, just like a normal cache find.
7. SUBMIT! The trackable will fall off the inventory on our cache and will be listed under your name, thus is under your care until you drop it off elsewhere.
When you drop off trackable item in our cache, follow these steps:
1. Log like a normal cache.
2. Before clicking SUBMIT, there is an option to select any trackables under your care that you may have left at the cache.
3. Highlight the trackable you dropped off, then click SUBMIT! The item will come off your personal inventory and enter the inventory of our cache.
Some other things to consider with trackable is that some actually have a mission. Many are trying to make it to a certain destination or a certain country/state. Also, try not to hold trackables too long because they want to get out and explore the world!
Enjoy this cache and make sure to pit stop in Joshua Tree...it may be a small town but it has a lot to offer...things you won't find in the city life or in most places in the country. On you're way out of town give a big "OOH RAH" out the window to thank the Marines protecting the U.S. and sacrificing their own freedom for yours. Happy caching!
