Geocache Description:

This is a small lock ‘n lock container located in South Park, Bethel Park, PA. It can hold only very small items. Bring a pen just in case.

When we think of Fort Pitt, often we think historically about the fort which is located on the Point in Pittsburgh, built from 1759 to 1761 during the French Indian War. But others may think about a beer which was brewed in Pittsburgh from 1906 to 1957 and then from 1989 to 2001. Even those not familiar with the beer may remember the expression, “Fort Pitt… That’s It!” Just the expression brings back fond memories.

This cache is located near the Fort Pitt Pavilion in South Park. I will leave it to you to decide if it was named for the Fort or for the beer.
Follow the trail which comes within 20 feet of the cache.
