Geocache Description:

Abandoned Railroad Bed

The Rails to Trails Conservancy and a local Rail-Trail group is working hard to get this unused railroad bed developed all the way to Berlin, MA.

Hopefully it will come to fruition before I can’t ride a bike anymore!


The trail is all overgrown and barely passable (check out the gallery pics) but the cache is located in a fairly easily accessible spot. No bushwacking required. A small pull-out for parking within 100 feet.

The container is not a nano! (Yea!) it might be considered a micro…

Note: IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO VENTURE OUT ON TO THE TRESTLE


There may be some PI in the vicinity so let the kids watch from the car.

There is an FTF prize and a STF prize. Both marked.
