When the nearby open area with the Caterpillar parked in it was Salina Auto Salvage.... their mailbox got knocked down a few times....so they fixed it...
When Absolute Trucks moved in, the old mailbox still stood the test of time, even through the 1993 and 1995 floods... not to mention the major flood of 2007.
The Absolute Trucks and Salina Auto Salvage Buildings are gone now, but the old mailbox post still stands solid.
