Last Frontier Council BSA Treasures: Volunteering Traditional Cache
OleKim: This one has had a good run. I've moved farther away and don't get to Cordell often. It's best to put this one to bed. Thanks to all who have found it in the past dozen years or so.

in our disclaimer.
This cache is part of a special series of geocaches placed to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America in 2010. You're looking for a magnetic keyholder placed on an object that highlights the volunteering nature of Scouting.
Scouting and volunteerism go hand-in-hand. Each year, Boy Scouts across the country perform thousands of hours of service for their communities for no pay. They build trails, install park benches, collect items for local food banks and conduct flag ceremonies at community events. It's all done in the spirit of Scouting to help build character in our future leaders.
And, it's not only the boys. Scout leaders come from a variety of backgrounds and experiences, but they are all committed to one thing — helping boys become responsible, caring and competent adults.
The "Get in the Game!" committee of the Last Frontier Council is maintaining this cache for people to discover. Those who find and log this cache automatically get a chance to win a rare 2010 Scouting geocoin. One coin will be given away monthly as long as supplies last, with the recipient chosen from a pool of those who have found the "Treasures of Scouting" series.
In addition to this hide, four other Treasures of Scouting caches are hidden around SW Oklahoma. Other caches highlight Cub Scouting, Boy Scouting, Venturing and BSA alumni. We challenge you to find all five!
We also challenge you to volunteer to help a Scout, whether it is as a Cubmaster, Scoutmaster, Den leader -- or maybe simply as an involved parent. Geocaching is now a Boy Scout merit badge. Volunteer to become a merit badge counselor and teach a boy how to geocache!
Note: The courthouse around the corner was constructed in 1910, the same year Boy Scouting came to the United States.
FTF kudos to smokeybearsden!
