THE ALPHABET CACHES - C Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Yorkshiretaff: Sorry to have to report that the loggers have decimated this once beautiful woods. There was actually no way into the woods due to the now industrial nature of the area. I know it's a plantation, and I know it would be cut down at some time, but it doesn't mean I have to be happy with it. [:(][:(][:(][:(][:(]

How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

My addition to the Alphabet Cache series has been placed in a beautiful dense forest on the outskirts of Silsden. My kids call it Narnia, and when the multi-coloured fungi are blooming, creatures scurrying and birds calling you could easily believe it. There are other caches in the area and a good circular walk can be planned. A small parking spot can be found at the start of the Bridleway at N53° 53.535’ W001° 53.786’.

Please take as much care over finding & replacing the cache as I have in setting it up. Replace the cache in the same spot along with any geo-stones or other hiding materials... Thanx :D

Any problems feel free to Tweet me...

THE ALPHABET CACHES

This idea, and much of the text, is borrowed (or stolen!) from the Curse of the FTF series which now has quite a few branches running around the country. With apologies to the originator.

The Alphabet Caches is a series which requires the FTF cacher to place the next cache in the series after reading the following rules.

Caches should be place within a 30-mile radius of Keighley, at least for the first run through the alphabet.

RULES:

1)The First To Find should place a further Alphabet
Cache beginning with the next letter of the alphabet. The second
cache will then be called The Alphabet Caches – B, the third
one The Alphabet Caches – C, etc. Please note only the FTFer
should place the next cache, not everyone who subsequently
visits.

2)You can be the FTF on this series once only in order to give
everyone a chance, until everyone who wants a go at FTF has had a
chance, then it's a Free-For-All!

3)On reaching the letter Z the next cacher will start the alphabet
again, commencing with The Alphabet Caches – A2. When we
reach Z100 we might have to think again!

4)All caches should be Traditional caches.

5) All boxes should be of a decent size for swaps –
minimum .75 litre. NO MICROs!

6) Caches placed should contain some “starter” swaps of
the correct initial letter. As we progress through the alphabet a
little bit of imagination/licence might be required. Let's see how
inventive you can be!

7) Only items with the correct initial letter may be swapped
– Initial A for The Alphabet Caches - A, B for The Alphabet
Caches - B etc. For instance, you could not put a Crocodile in
Cache T, but you could leave a Tyrannosaur! It is not essential to
swap items – normal caching rules apply for this.

8) The Introduction, rules and the history below should be pasted
into each cache page and new details appended as the series
grows.

>By way of clarification, there is no requirement besides the standard signing of the cache log to prevent you from logging this cache when found. Everyone should log their find, and hopefully the FTF person will play along and place another cache, but it is in no way a requirement for logging your find. But if you don't intend to carry on the series please DO NOT FTF, rather leave it for someone else.

Alphabet Cache – A starter swaps:
Anglers' Floats,Austin Allegro, Artificial flowers, Airacobra glider, Antelope, Air freshener.

Alphabet Cache – B starter swaps:
Balloons, Ball, Bug, Bottle stop, Biro (please don't trade!), (jelly) Beans for the FTF.

Alphabet Cache – C starter swaps:
Cat, CPU, Coin (Geo), Comb, Coat hanger, Chew (dog), Coffee, Crocodile, Cards, Clip (paper), Cresent moon, Cash (don't get too excited), Capacitor, Chocolate for the FTF.
