A wonderfully scenic short walk is required for this cache. Suitable for children (accompanied by adults because of water hazards) - You may even meet some Ducks !!!
"The Bridge to Nowhere" is only our second cache and is situated close to Porthcawl town centre. The area is quite scenic and a short stroll is required - Parking is available nearby and you have two options dependant on which end you would like to start ! However, PLEASE DO NOT PARK ON THE DUAL CARRIAGE WAY - THERE IS NO ACCESS THIS WAY ! The cache is under HEAVY TREES (most of which are marked with numbers which we found quite strange!) but the clue should help you. I have taken 5 seperate readings with my GPS and have worked out which is the best. However, I still only got 11 foot accuracy because of the overhead foilage. There are muggles in the area at peak times but as this is in the woodland - it should be relatively safe - Stealth maybe required but not absolutely necessary most times. !PLEASE NOTE I visited today 14/01/25 to find that the bridge which has been closed off for some time, has been removed! Access to “Nowhere” is now ironically easier!!!
