STEALTH REQUIRED Bring your own pen … and replace the micro exactly where you found it ! The Skip is the information pavilion for the Science Park and the base unit for the future National Centre for Industrial Culture, which will be developed around the last two blast furnaces in Belval. The pavilion is the public unit of the Fonds Belval. It is used for organising a wide variety of events, from exhibitions to workshops, via meetings or panel meetings for architectural contests. The events organised at the Skip are based around the themes of contemporary architecture, land planning, landscape development, history of the steel industry and industrial heritage. The building in the form of a yellow wave was designed by Polaris architects, winner of the contest addressed exclusively at young architects under 35 years old and at architecture students. The pavilion takes its name from the carts transporting ore by the lift inclined towards the mouth to supply the blast furnace. The Skip pavilion was opened on 18 June 2005.
