Geocache Description:

The cache is at Derryheen Iron Bridge, Cavan on the banks of the Annalee River. The cache is a plastic container with clip lock lid and is covered in black tape.Parking is possible at the bridge or further back at the Church of Ireland church.
Derryheen is a popular fishing place. The water level on the river is monitored remotely by the ESB in Ballyshannon. You will notice the monitor with solar panel beside the bridge.
Derryheen Church is now serviced by the Rector of Cavan Parish. On the Night of the Big Wind (Oíche na Gaoithe Móire)in January 1839 the roof was blown completely off the church necessitating major repairs. The church is used for services all year round.
