Geocache Description:

This cache is part of a series intended to showcase Wisconsin's Rustic Roads (WRR). Wisconsin's Legislature established the Rustic Roads program in 1973 to preserve what remains of Wisconsin's scenic, lightly traveled roads.

These caches are usually hidden near the right-of-way so that no bushwhacking is required. Please be respectful of private property and be aware that, although traffic is normally light, there may be no shoulder on which to park. Be sure to keep an especially close eye on children while hunting for the cache.

This cache is hidden along Rustic Road 29, which begins at Woods School (see additional WP), just a few miles west of Lake Geneva. It runs 2.6 miles and rejoins Highway 50 near Lake Geneva's western city limits. After locating the cache, which shouldn't be difficult, continue driving and you'll pass the gates of some historic estates along the north shore of Geneva Lake. Some of these date back to the late 1800's and early 1900's. Fall colors along Snake Road can be spectacular, so bring a camera if you visit during that time of year. Enjoy!
