Cette cache est la troisième d’une série qui a pour thème « Le Québec Central ». Chaque cache vous contera une petite partie de l’histoire de la première compagnie de chemin de fer au Canada.

L'ancienne station Levis & Kennebec était située dans la haute-ville, rendant nécessaire un transfert incommode de fret et des passagers à travers la falaise jusqu'au port du traversier. Cependant en 1884, le QCR a construit une ligne de Carrier Jct à Harlaka où le recordement a été effectué avec le chemin de fer Intercolonial. Ensuite, les trains ont utilisé la station Intercolonial (Maintenant CNR) situé au port du traversier. En 1912, le chemin de fer du Quebec Central a été loué pour 999 ans à la compagnie Canadien Pacifique, mais a maintenu son identité depuis cette époque.

The former Levis & Kennebec station in Levis was located in the Upper Town, necessitating an inconvenient transfer of freight and passengers up and down the cliff to the Ferry Landing. However in 1884, the QCR constructed a line from Carrier Jct. to Harlaka where connection was effected with the Intercolonial Railway. Thereafter, the trains used the Intercolonial station (now CNR) located at the Ferry Landing. In 1912, the Quebec Central Railway was leased for 999 years to the Canadian Pacific Railway, but has retained its separate identity since that time.

There are two caches not included in the series on Québec Central but placed near the railroad. They are GC1J3AD (Une vraie magnétique) by Plaisier et Cestmoi58 and GC1M3Z8 (La ligne verte) placed by Zieubleu. You should look for them.
