One of 2 stops along the Belfort Loops
It is a section of tracks that is between the Jura & Belfort Stations on your way from Princeton to Osprey Lake. The station was located at Km 99.3.
Starting point of the four Belfort Loops which end at mileage 64.56 (km103.9). It is only since the late 1970’s that these loops became more commonly known as the “Jura” Loops. Railroaders knew them variously as the “Belfort Loops” the “Loops above Belfort” or simply as “The loops on Jura Hill”. Even official tourist brochures circa 1950 advertising CPR passenger train routes in British Columbia identify this landmark as the “Bellfort [sic] Loops.” Jura was nearly two miles from the nearest loop while Belfort was less than a mile. (The loops are easily accessible and are situated in a scenic setting especially in the spring time.
