This cache is located on the out skirts of Stanthorpe, This Border Marker was erected to celebrate the Centenary of Federation and to commemorate the Survey of the Queensland and New South Wales. Border by Surveyors Francis Roberts and Isiah Rowland 1863 - 1866.

Stanthorpe is the heart of The Granite Belt.
