Geocache Description:

Photobucket

Telus began construction of Princeton's first Cell Phone Tower in 1997. It was July 26, 1997 when the tower was finally working and providing cell coverage. An area of 30 meters was logged off around the cell tower for fire and damage protection. The tower uses 48V DC which is converted from AC to power all the electronics. It has a massive battery backup system which can provide up to 12 hours of cell coverage if the AC power goes out. At an elevation of 3784 feet there is a great view looking East. This is an ATV or 4WD only cache location. Follow the orange dots on the trees to get to the tower.
