3 mile roundtrip on the mudflats
Park at the knik river exit and follow the trail past the lake and kead out onto the mudflats most of this is dry but you may get wet ankles depending on the tide. Find this cache inside an unusual wooden box thats floated around in the ocean. Here you will see loads of birds including kingfishers, sandhills, seagulls, an eagle and so on. Its set in a pleasant spare and salty environment. Clear cylinder container pencil and log. Note that if you use tides for anchorage you will be off by about 2? Hours for upper knik arm. This is just my best guess and not based on anything. If you happen to know the actual tidal correction, please drop me a note.
