Geocache Description:

Take a walk along the Beach Trail at beautiful Punderson State Park. Here you can enjoy a great view of Lake Punderson, the largest and deepest naturally-formed kettle lake in Ohio. The lake was created approximately 12,000 years ago when the last glaciers receded from the area, leaving behind a huge ice chunk that eventually melted and formed this beautiful natural wonder, which is still enjoyed by both man and a large variety of wildlife. Cache is about .30 mile round trip.

This cache is part of the 2010 NE Ohio State Parks Challenge. There are 18 Ohio State Parks located in North East Ohio. with the boundaries being East of I- 71 and North of I-70.
