Brief history:
The Farmstead was established in 1744 and by 1758 was completed by Peter Wentz and his wife Roseanna. The house combines English Georgian and traditional German architecture reflecting the lifestyle of a prosperous farmer. The site has been restored to represent its appearance during the American Revolution era. In 1777 the farmstead served as headquarters for General George Washington when the Continental Army was encamped in and around the Worcester area.

Currently the Farmstead includes a working farm, orchard, an 18th century kitchen garden, and a 1.25 mile nature trail. You can get better acquainted with the Farmstead through tours, exhibits, and educational programs offered on site.
