I’m introducing this series of caches, called Minong: Pleasant Valley, to introduce everyone to the wonderful Minong area of northern Wisconsin.
The Minong Area ATV & Snowmobile Club, whose club building you see near this cache, started in 1995 and has grown to cover 44 miles of ATV and 80 miles of snowmobile trails, including a section of the Wild River Trail, the new Stony Brook Trail and trails 8 and 39A. The village and town of Minong have both been supportive of expanding ATV access in and around Minong, as evidenced by the multitude of trail route markers. ATV and snowmobile trail riding is an important part of tourism in the Minong area. To learn more about the club visit www.minongtrails.com.
