Geocache Description:

moderate sized container in a park in the center of town.

This park is memorable to us of a variety of reasons. It sits across the street from what is now a parking lot but used to be the original Monmouth Hospital. After that is became Applegate longterm care facility where we actually met as co-workers. We worked there a couple of years after we married. The facility eventually became Pinewood longterm care facility. I play in the Monmouth municipal band, and while Pinewood still existed this park was the site of one of the many summer ice cream socials the band continues to play for.
