A short walk in a country cemetery. We have been doing so many cemetery caches lately that we decided to do one of our own.
John H. Ketcham, one of Dover's most prestigious residents, was born on a farm in 1832 He went on to become a general during the Civil War and served on both the State Legislature and the House of Representatives. He died on November 6, 1906 just 2 days before he was to have been elected to another term in the House and was buried in Valley View Cemetery. He was said to have been a devoted father and husband, a faithful public servant, a patriotic citizen and a considerate, kind man.
