This cache is located along the Riverfront Trail. Similar to the Grant Trail in South County this paved trail runs from the Laclede Power Station 11 miles north to the Old Chain of Rocks Bridge. It is mostly flat with a few short hills that pop on and off the levy. It is suitable for walking, running, bike riding and roller blading. In winter it is an excellent spot to eagle watch. Parking is available at the Chain of Rocks, North Riverfront Park and Laclede. Check the Trailnet website for other parking options.
This cache is hidden very close to the trail. It is a good spot to take a break away from the muggles of N. Riverfront Park and find a cache. Like my other caches along this trail it isn't meant to be hard but to give you an excuse to drag out the shoes, blades or bike, get some excercise and have fun. Hint is a spoiler. Enjoy!
