Geocache Description:

Now in its fourth exciting location with the sixth intriguing container and still going strong!!!!

Because of questionable GPS reception downtown. The hint gives the explicit location.

There is not much to say about this movie as it is in post production as of the publishing of the cache.

Update:The Tree of Life was awarded the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival, the top honor presented at this prestigious event.

The Tree of Life stars Brad Pitt, Sean Penn, Joanna Going, Fiona Shaw, and Jessica Chastain. Filmed at locations all over the state and employing the building at 1100 Louisiana in Houston. The area around the building is saturated with caches, so I chose a more remote location that has a good view of the building. If you look north from here you can see the prominent pink granite building featuring the "cut away" bays in the sides. The 55 story Skidmore, Owens and Merrill skyscraper stands handsomely next to the green glass Wells Fargo building and was the tallest building in Houston from 1980 to 1982.

The cutaway side made room for a rather stark bank lobby and an outdoor plaza. Originally built by that great contributor to the Houston skyline, Hines Interests, to house First International Bank. It has gone through a number of names as the economy has changed and is now called Enterprise Plaza after the major tenant, Enterprise Product Partners. The ultra modern former bank lobby has been converted into a home for the PageSoutherlandPage architectural firm and serves as the location where Penn's character works.

If you have a few minutes, go the few extra blocks to get a closer look. It is one of the more interesting and innovative buildings among the many great contributions that Hines made to shape the city's distinctive skyline.

Congratulations to jjax12 for being FTF!
